Boreal Wetland ERI
ERI Profile Penetrating ~125 Ft Showing a Buried Minnesota Wetland Under a Highway.
ERI subsurface resistivity distribution under a Minnesota highway that crosses a buried wetland. Image is 560 ft long, was collected with 10 ft electrode spacing and, consequently, penetrates to ~ 125 ft. Several cores (black vertical lines) provide lithologic control. The image shows low–moderate resistivity organic deposits (cyan ) under high resistivity highway fill (reds) subject to differential subsidence. Blue conductive blobs within the organics are clay-rich. The high resistivity lenses in the upper section of the organics are confirmed sand and gravel, probably stream deposits.
